How we built it

Built with React Native for the front end, Donation Allocation Aid is a collaborative effort leveraging technology for social good. The allocation algorithm, developed in JavaScript, prioritizes causes based on user input and predefined weights. We have also drawn inspiration and insights from various sources, including ChatGPT and Stack Overflow, which have served as valuable references during the development process.

Challenges we ran into

Developing a functional prototype within the timeframe posed challenges, including fine-tuning the allocation algorithm and integrating frontend and backend components seamlessly. Balancing simplicity with accuracy in the allocation process required careful consideration.
